    1. along with my younger brother who is now deceased.
  3. suw’ thuyt ’i’ huy’thustham’shusulh kw’unu s’ul’eluhw,
    1. We were building and my Elders were tell me,
  4. “ha’ ch tuw’ t’et’iyuq’ ’uw’ niihw t’et’iyuq’ ’i’ ’uwu ch they’tuhw.
    1. “If you are at all angry, mad at something, don’t be building.
  5. s’ul’ey’ ch ’ul’ ’u tey’ lelum’.”
    1. Treat this house right.”
  6. nilh kwu’elh nush ni’ st’e ’u kw’uw’ they’ yuthust ’ulh kw’unu sqe’uq kwutst wulh thuyt, they’t they’ lelum’.
    1. And so it was like the way it was told, when my young brother and I were building that house.
  7. ’i’ tun’a kweyul ’i’ na’ut hwu s’i’kw’ tey’ snuw’uyulh.
    1. But today we have lost those teachings.
  8. ’uw’ nanulh ’uw’ xe’xe’st-hwus tu t’at mustimuhw.
    1. It was very sacred to our ancestors.
  9. lemut tu qiquq’ul’s ’i’ niilh ’uw’ ts’ets’uw’utham’shus
    1. I looked toward the police to help me
  10. kwsutst wulh thuyt they’ lelum’.
    1. when we build that house.
  11. ’i’ tun’a kweyul ’i’ hwul’hwul’uq tst ’i’ ’ukw’nuhw tun’a snuw’uyulh.
    1. Today, we have almost lost our traditional teachings.
  12. nilh wa’lu tu ni’ st’e ’u kw’uw’ qaaqa’ kwun’etus tu qul mustimuhw.
    1. Maybe it’s on account of the drinking that has addicted the people.
  13. tth’ihwum ch kwu’elh st’e ’u kw’uw’ ts’ewutal’hw.
    1. Please then won’t you help us.
